Mitch Rotter serves as EVP of Programming for Break Media.
In this role, he will oversee the editorial direction of all Break Media’s Web properties as well as conceive and deliver large scale, compelling programming consistent with Break Media’s history as an award-winning publisher of online video and content. Rotter also will work closely with Break’s Creative Labs to develop and launch original video programming across all Break Media’s properties.
Rotter comes to Break from his position as SVP of Marketing and Product Development for Universal Music Group, the world’s leading music company, which features vaunted labels such as Island Records, Interscope and Motown Records; and artists such as Lady GaGa, Eminem and Rihanna. In his role at UMG, Rotter oversaw central marketing for all UMG products as well as the development of new products, services, marketing tools and systems. Prior to his work at Universal, Rotter held senior-level positions at Thumbplay, Inc., New Line Cinema and Capitol Records.
The Wisconsin native resides in Studio City with his wife and three children and holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Southern California.
