Senior Product Manager, Ad Platform

Senior Product Manager of Ad Platforms:

This Sr. Product Manager position is a highly visible and rewarding role within a rapidly growing digital media business that operates in both the publisher and ad network space. The Product Manager of Ad Platforms has responsibility for guiding the strategy and product requirements for Break Media’s ad technology platforms, including proprietary ad server products, display ad products and video ad products.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a market-driven product road-map for Break Media’s ad-serving technology and video and display ad products.
  • Maintain and continually improve a publisher and advertiser focused ad server platforms.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of advertiser-focused video advertising reporting and analytic needs and requirements. Track industry best practices and trends through research and close collaboration with internal business and sales teams and advertiser client base.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of digital advertising work-flows from RFP to IO to post-buy analysis. Track industry best practices and trends pertaining to agency trading desks and demand-side platforms.
  • Coordinate with Break Media’s business and engineering teams to translate business requirements into well-defined functional product requirements and specifications for the engineering team.
  • Coordinate with other members of the Product Management team to ensure product features are implemented consistently across all of Break Media’s websites, mobile and set-top box apps & other technology platforms.
  • Work with Break Media’s Integrated Marketing team to position Break Media’s ad products.
  • Educate and train internal business teams on product best practices, specifications, and key benefits and features. Lead product demonstrations for internal and possibly external clients.
  • Ensure usability for advertisers and publishers in Ad Management systems.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of overall product management within the digital advertising industry and with at least 2+ years of reporting and analytics experience.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Experience with UX design and wireframe development.
  • Experience with a variety of ad serving technologies, digital campaign management workflows, and agency trading desk platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage multiple internal and external relationships.
  • A solid business background, comfort with business analytics, and a sound, intuitive feel for the digital ad business.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills; active listening abilities, attention to details.
  • Superior project management skills with the ability to think strategically and work tactically.
  • A “can-do” attitude with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic in a fast paced environment; comfort with multi-tasking and handling conflicting priorities.
